Thoughts for the month:
It is never to late to be what you might have been.
George Elliott.
Think of yourself on the threshold of unparalleled success. A whole, clear, glorious life lies ahead of you. Achieve, achieve, achieve!’
Andrew Carnegie
Celebrate your successes & find humour in your failures. Don’t take yourself too seriously. Loosen up & everyone around you will loosen up. Have fun & always show enthusiasm. If all else fails, put on a costume & sing a silly song
Sam Walton.

8 steps to achieving personal success
Step One
Have vision. Probably the most important part of success is to decide what it is you really want. Clarity & vision about what you are going to achieve will ensure you are focusing your efforts in the right direction.
Step Two
Accept responsibility. This puts you in a position of power and allows you to take control of the situation rather than letting it take control of you.
Step Three
Develop a positive attitude. Your outlook on life is crucial to your success as what you choose to focus on, will become your reality. If you dwell on everything that is wrong in your life—then that is what you will find!
Step Four
Ditch the self-limiting beliefs. Fear of failure is drummed into us at a very early age. We condition ourselves to believe that if something didn’t work out once or twice in the past, the same thing will happen again.
Step Five
Believe in yourself. I often share the following quote with clients who have low self-esteem and self-confidence:- ‘don’t overvalue what you are not and undervalue what you are.’. We are prone to undermine our capabilities but don’t settle for less as you are capable of achieving far more than you think!
Step 6
Develop positive relationships. Never underestimate the impact people have on you but take care to focus on the positive & supportive people you know and meet, and hold back from those who drain your energy.
Step 7
Manage your time effectively. In order to make the best use of your time you need to have clarity of purpose. Are you applying the 80:20 Pareto rule?
Step 8
Set goals and commit to them! This is core to the coaching process. List your goals for all areas of your life--work, family, ‘me’ time --and decide what you want to achieve by next week, next month next year. Then, the most significant step of all, TAKE ACTION.

African Project Update
This is just a quick update during this busy holiday period.
The first fundraising event held last month was well attended and thanks to people’s generosity, 9as well as The Body shop representative donating 10% of all sales), the raffle held raised £75.
I’ve hit a bit of a plateau this month with the weight loss so once I return from a few days to celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary in The Lake District, it’s off to the local slimming club to get the momentum going again!
Until next month,
